Mandi Olson is the new director of Ready Set School, the organization’s board of directors announced in a press release.
“Ready Set School is fortunate to have Mandi join and lead our organization,” Ready Set School Board president Jenny Baertsch said. “Her extensive background and enthusiasm for giving back to the community are a great fit to carry out our mission and vision.”
“I’m honored to serve this established and vital program for Winona County,” Olson said. “I look forward to meeting the various constituents involved.”
Olson grew up in Galesville, Wisconsin and civic engagement has always been part of her life. “My mom was a great role model in showing me the importance of giving back to the community we live in. I really love the idea of being the middle person between people that want to give and people that need the gifts. Ready Set School has such a great community presence.”
Besides working professionally in Winona for over ten years in non-profit organizations, Olson has been involved in groups such as the Young Professionals of the Winona Area Chamber of Commerce (and various sub groups of this organization), Leave a Legacy Winona, the City of Winona Planning Commission, and many other various organizations. She has a B.B.A. degree in Organizational Management and an A.A.S. degree in Marketing.
Olson and her husband, Todd, live in Winona with their children, Maylene (4) and Susanna (2). Together they enjoy outdoor recreation including walks, hikes, camping, boating and fishing. They also love cooking together and spending time with friends and family.
